Due to almost three decades of surfing experience in the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area, MASS instructors know the best surfing spots around. We also have extensive knowledge of the tides, so we always know when and where to take surfers of any level of experience. Here at MASS the goal is to surf, but our number one priority is the safety of our students.

At Manuel Antonio Surfing lessons we use specially designed longboards made out of a lightweight material that are just perfect for beginners. For more advanced surfers, we also have a variety of shorter, traditional boards made for riding the waves in style. We also provide all our students with leashes, wax and rashguards made especially for surfing.

All of our instructors speak English and are highly trained in water safety as well as First Aid.

Whether you are coming to Costa Rica or you are already here, you can´t miss some of the best waves in Central America. Need a board? No problem! We have top of the line equipment for you to use. Don't know how to surf ? No problem! We´ll teach you.

We will pick up you up at your hotel or house and take you to the most incredible beach of the area, Playa el Rey. This beach is great for anybody, either you have experience or none at all, no problem! This place is special because of its great left and right breaks, its completely secluded since it belongs to Manuel Antonio National Park, and not to forget its beautiful flora and wildlife. Here you will learn to surf like a pro! Before you get in the water, our bilingual instructors will give you a safety talk and demonstrate the first steps of surfing.
